EYD23, a Fuel Efficient 23ft OPEN FISHING BOAT. NEW DESIGN LOA: 23ft Philosophy for this design is the choppy sea that surrounds our island and the rising fuel prices. Wave cutting nose with flat planing in aft. Most modern motor vessels are quite flat and fuel consuming. Due to the choppy sea around our island with wave heigth of avg. 6-7ft and a waveperiod of only 5-7 sec. The radical nose shape is needed to achieve a fast boat for all weather, even in rough choppy seas with 25kn winds. See offshore performance analyse animation here.... Many extras optional. console, extra benches, cooling compartment, lifewell, rod holders, swim platform, swim ladder etc. Hull, deck, floor and stringers will all be made in FRP Sandwich construction (FRP= fibre reinforced plastic better known as fiberglass or carbonfibers). Standard sandwich material will be NIDA CORE. Alble to choose in different core types: nida core, core cell foam, pvc foam, balsa wood, plywood (bulkheads). With the used construction method the quality and durability off the hull will be insured. Sandwich construction will achive high laminate strength, low weight, high material impact resistance, virtually zero water absorption in core, high dimensional thermal material stability.
